Go for it if you're building something bigger than a 4-bay box. It also earns its keep on a busy pool where scrubs and rebuilds never let up, because the 550 TB a year workload rating is there for exactly that. Five years of warranty is the other draw, and on a drive you'll leave spinning for most of a decade that's worth having. Recording is CMR, the right kind for RAID and ZFS.
!Watch out for
It's a 7,200 rpm drive and you'll hear it working.
Backblaze doesn't run enough of these for a failure rate we'd publish. Four of them in SHR or RAID 5 give 18 TB usable, or 16.4 TB once Windows has done its binary maths on it.
