Quiet beats fast for most home boxes, and at 5,400 rpm it's in the quieter class while still keeping a 1GbE link busy. Recording is CMR, the right kind for RAID and ZFS.
!Watch out for
The trade-off is three years' warranty and a 180 TB a year workload rating, which is fine for a media library that mostly sits there and tight if you shift terabytes around every week (scrubs and rebuilds count towards it too).
No Backblaze failure rate for this one. They don't run enough of them, if any, for a figure worth quoting. On paper it makes 27 dB at idle and 28 dB seeking. Synology lists 3.4 W at idle and 5.3 W working, which comes to 30 kWh a year for a drive that idles around the clock. Four of them in SHR or RAID 5 give 18 TB usable, or 16.4 TB once Windows has done its binary maths on it.
