Is the BarraCuda 6 TB right for you? As a second drive in a PC, or a backup you plug in once a week, it does what you need.
! Watch out forNo NAS rating from Seagate. For an array, pick a NAS line instead. And the recording's SMR, another reason it stays out of arrays.
No Backblaze failure rate for this one. They don't run enough of them, if any, for a figure worth quoting. On paper it makes 23 dB at idle and 25 dB seeking. Seagate lists 3.4 W at idle and 5.3 W working, which comes to 30 kWh a year for a drive that idles around the clock.
