Fine as the data drive in a desktop, or a backup copy that sits on a shelf. Either way that's light work for a 55 TB a year rating.
!Watch out for
Seagate doesn't rate it for NAS use at all, which rules it out for an array as far as we're concerned. And the recording's SMR, another reason it stays out of arrays.
Backblaze doesn't run enough of these for a failure rate we'd publish. On paper it makes 23 dB at idle and 25 dB seeking. Seagate lists 3.4 W at idle and 5.3 W working, which comes to 30 kWh a year for a drive that idles around the clock.
