It makes most sense when you're chasing terabytes per pound and the NAS sits somewhere noise doesn't matter. Think garage, or a rack in the cupboard under the stairs. Toshiba backs it for five years, which is a long time in drive terms. It's CMR, which is what you want anywhere near a RAID or ZFS rebuild.
!Watch out for
At 7,200 rpm it's from the louder, warmer class. Fine in a cupboard, less fun on a desk.
No Backblaze failure rate for this one. They don't run enough of them, if any, for a figure worth quoting. Toshiba lists 2.93 W at idle and 6.26 W working, which comes to 26 kWh a year for a drive that idles around the clock. Four of them in SHR or RAID 5 give 3 TB usable, or 2.7 TB once Windows has done its binary maths on it.
