Why the Toshiba MG11 24 TB
Bigger drives mean fewer bays for the same space, and fewer drives spinning, though a rebuild on a 24 TB drive takes well over a day. Of the two we'd buy, the Toshiba MG11 24TB has the best Backblaze record, with 0.50% a year across 9,597 drives. At this size it's worth running two-drive protection like SHR-2 or RAID 6.

How we pick this one
Until prices land, it's the 24 TB drive with the best Backblaze record, and failing that, the longest warranty. Right now two drives qualify, and the list re-ranks every time prices or Backblaze's figures update.
