Should you buy the TerraMaster D5-310?
Watch out for
All 5 bays share one 5 Gb/s link, and you'll feel that when several drives are busy at once, a parity sync being the obvious case.
Hardware modes are RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10, Single. In a RAID mode the computer sees one volume and the box does the parity itself. It runs off an external power brick and TerraMaster lists drives up to 32 TB.
