It squeezes 6 drives into one free 5.25in bay, which is the cheapest way to get hot-swap into an old tower. Trays load from the front, and a dead drive comes out without opening the case.
Power goes in through 2 × SATA power connectors. You'll need 6 free SATA ports on the board, or an HBA card.
